About Your Job: In this role, you will assist the Reservation officer to plan, supervise and support the Reservations staff in order to achieve optimal customer satisfaction and surpass the annual revenue targets.   You will encourage teamwork, consistency of service and proper coordination. You will also make and confirm reservations and issue and sell tickets for passengers and for the airlines routes.  In addition, you will be responsible for selling and serving customers professionally through telephone or in person in order to achieve customer satisfaction whilst generating revenue.

Specific accountabilities include:

  • Distribution tasks to staff on daily basis (delegation), control and monitor staff productivity and tasks achievement (PFC, Groups, STPC, Refunds, Call Centre incoming and outgoing calls, FFP etc)
  • Ensure smooth operation in the section with implemented internal procedures, systematic and orderly filling of all Reservation related task
  • Internal communication and coordination with other departments (Local and HO) to ensure reservation and ticketing queries are handled for the station
  • Handle customer (direct, corporate and travel agency) requirement/ request professionally on a daily basis, ensure minimum complaints including investigate complaints to define and correct weak areas.
  • Support Customers with seat confirmation and arrange VIP Bookings/ ticketing queries.
  • Inform clients about itinerary, QR product, fare rules and conditions without errors in professional and service oriented manner
About You: To be effective in this role, you will need a Diploma or Associate Degree combined with a minimum of five years of experience in a similar capacity.  You will need prior experience in customer service within the airline/travel or hospitality sectors and will need to have completed an IATA or Airline Advance Tariff Pricing Course.  In addition, you will need sound mathematical/calculation skills and a good grasp of world geography.  Prior experience with a reservation system such as Amadeus would be advantageous.

You will need to be fluent (written and spoken) in English to perform this role.
